A stunning CG video from Paris. It seems like this is how Pandora (from Avatar) would look like before the Na’vi’s took over. Great score done by a French compositeur Phillipe Rey. If this was a video game I would definitely play it.

We Miss You

The quality of this video is amazing more than anything, but the message is pretty awesome. I should of guessed, not even the title gives it away. I'm not sure about the execution, but I liked the build up. Suspenseful up until the end of the clip, you knew it was coming, but weren't sure what it was for.

2011 Summer Begins NOW

The very special thing about this video is that it was all shot in Downtown LA. Recognize most of the places? I'm sure both David Guetta and Nicki Minaj were both anxiously waiting to drop this single as 2011 summer begins. Sounds like we'll be hearing this a lot this summer at all the pool parties.

Using lyrics from Buck 65 "Superstars Don't Love" Travis Hopkins has taken over 60 old movie titles and animated the first verse of the song. Simple, clean and well put together. This is one of the ideas that looks so simple to do that I wish I thought of doing it, but I didn't, so hats off to Travis.

This experimental short is done by Tadas Svilainis using scanned photography, chopped up into multi-layer Photoshop files, than taken into After Effects to add motion and animation. I’m sure everyone has seen similar pieces like this, but it has always been with vector art, Rock-n-Rolla Intro for example or comic book anime, but never have I seen this done with real photography.

LA River Ride

Here is a video I shot with my GoPro of the 100 mile bike ride I did a few weeks ago. Started from Griffith Park to Seal Beach and back. This was my first century ride, and I did it in 9 hours. Advance riders usually do this in 6-7 hours. It was tough, but I will definitely do it again.

A lot of hard work behind this spot, let’s break it down. The wall represents the barrier placed in the way of freedom. Behind the wall, a world of light and freedom. On the other side: death, injustice and despair. It goes through the world history of the last 50 years. The examples used are internationally recognizable, at the same time, metaphorical enough for people to understand them even without knowing about them.

flower can wither and die, but its seeds will bring life to a new one. No matter how hard you try to censor, attack or extinguish freedom, its seeds are already way too spread and a new liberty will always arise.
